Payton's Sweet Shoppe

Every 24th of July my family heads up to Panguitch, Utah to celebrate Pioneer Day.
While we were there I happened to ask my sister how she was going to decorate my niece, Payton's, birthday party which was coming up in September. She had mentioned that she had already bought her an adorable dress with cupcakes on it but wasn't sure of a theme. All she knew was she didn't want to have a princess party like everyone else.

This is where I come in, haha. I am a major blog and Pinterest fan so I knew that I could find some adorable ideas online. Then I remembered seeing my friend Melinda's post in June about her daughter's Sweet Shoppe Party, and I knew that Payton's party had to be Sweet Shoppe themed as well. I mean, she already had the dress to match, so it had to be done. I showed Lindsay Melinda's party pictures and right away she agreed with me that it was the perfect theme. We got busy planning and decided it needed to be very PINK, and I was deemed the party decorator.

I started on Pinterest where I made a board dedicated to ideas for the event. I basically pinned every pink party that I thought was adorable and started brain-storming. I headed to Hobby Lobby and found the perfect pink paper for the event, downloaded fonts to make labels, and slowly but surely got to work on the decorations.

I'm so happy Lindsay let me help with my adorable niece's first birthday party. I think everything turned out cute for my first official party where I made my first banner, first mini banner, and first cupcake toppers, but I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking:

WELCOME TO PAYTON'S SWEET SHOPPE:

THE SWEETS AND TREATS WITH THEIR LABELS:

Pink chocolate was a must.

The goodie bags for the kids to take left over treats home with them.

THE YUMMY SMASH CAKE AND CUPCAKES FROM SAM'S CLUB WITH THE CUPCAKE TOPPERS I MADE:

The cake was absolutely adorable. LOVE the bow.

THE BALLOON CHANDELIER:

THE HIGHCHAIR DECOR WITH A MINI BANNER:

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL HERSELF:

Isn't she SO adorable? She melts my heart and I'm so proud to call her my niece. She didn't get as messy as we thought, but I think she enjoyed her cake still the same. I'm so glad I got to help with her special day and hope she'll look back at pictures and love her first birthday party, because I know I sure loved decorating for it!

  2. @Sadie Jane-Awh, I was hoping I wasn't stepping on anyone's toes by posting such a long comment, but I definitely felt the need to say something. My sweet husband sat with me and helped me find the best things to say, and I am definitely so thankful that I have him to help me and be such a great example. It's awesome that people come to you with questions and I hope each of the people that commented were able to answer their questions. :]

Also-I just wanted to say that I love your blog and am glad that you take the time to post so many cute things. Thanks for following me as well!
