My Valentine's Day Weekend with My Forever Valentine!

So after I wrote my previous post, I went to bed at about 3 in the morning. THEN at about 7AM or so, my hubby tried to wake me up to go to Meadview. Needless to say I was VERY tired. After showering and putting on sweats, followed by getting ready for the trip, we finally left town at about 9AM. I slept pretty much the whole way, and finally we made it to Meadview. It was a good day and Pop's got to do all he wanted with his family present. I mainly worked on our budget, talking to Mom, and helped cook. It was a very relaxing day, and after the boys got home from their ride, Zach and Brooke came and we ate dinner and celebrated. It was a fun night of bonding, but Andrew had fallen asleep from being wiped out by his ride, so I ended up playing pool without him and talking to Brooke and Mom. It was good bonding time.

Instead of going home that night which was planned, we ended up sleeping on the couch, and boy did we SLEEEEEP. We slept in until like noon or something and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! A great way to start Valentine's day and much needed rest. We finally left Meadview at about 3 or so, and got back to Boulder at about 5. We opened presents from eachother, and of course Andrew brought me to tears with how amazing he is. He writes the best letters to me that make me realize how lucky I am. He also, aside from the flowers he surprised me with, got me some movie tickets (which we haven't used yet), a total car cleaning, and 500 Days of Summer (which we watched the night before Andrew proposed). I am so in love with my husband and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Hopefully he feels the same about me. I got him Zombieland, Black Sheep, and Tommy Boy, his favorite Sweet and Salty bars, a picture frame that says "I love you" and of course my heart and lovin'. After we opened the gifts, Andrew worked on my car while I did some homework. He did a WONDERFUL job and it is SO clean. We finally got ready and went to Olive Garden at about 10 PM. We were going to go to a movie but we were so tired we just went home. Even though it wasn't EXTREMELY eventful, it was still the Best Valentine's Day I've ever had. I got to spend it with the love of my life and that is all I need to have a good day. I can't wait to spend many more Valentine's Days with my honey, and just experience life together.

After Valentine's Day of course we had to get back to the weekly grind of homework, and school. We are working hard and doing what we can to support eachother and even though we hardly get to see eachother, we are making it work and doing what needs to be done. In the future I look forward to having more time to be husband and wife, but for now we are enjoying the time we CAN spend together.

Right now I'm dreaming of vacations and pampering myself. Until we win the lottery, we'll instead keep saving what we can and i'll be dreaming of pedicures and massages. Maybe someday soon I'll be able to treat myself, and I'll keep planning wonderful vacations and weekend trips to eventually go on. I'm also planning and looking forward to being super hot for Costa Rica this summer, so I bought a weight vest I can't wait to use, bought the Pussy Cat Dolls workout video, and am starting to eat better. It's no bueno when married life has ALREADY got us gaining weight, so that is changing now. I just got to get back into the groove of Weight Watchers eating and everything will be PERFECT. My honey deserves a hott wife anyways. :]

For tonight though, I'm going to lay in bed with my handsome husband and fall asleep. Tomorrow is another day filled with Sweet Tomatoes for my Aunt's birthday, errands galore, working until 9:30, homework, and hopefully hanging out with Kierstin and Stephy. Oh yeah, and I need to clean the house. We will see what all gets done and how exhausted I am by the end of the day.

So that sums up my life this week, goodnight all.

Not enough hours in the day...

So, I'm sitting here watching food network when I technically should be either sleeping in Meadview, AR or driving there right now. You see, working two jobs and having a hubby that works his butt off every day makes plans not always end up happening accordingly. After work tonight, I had to rush to Walgreens to pick up some pictures, then go to Big Five to take care of some business, drive to my parents house and get some insurance information along with another wedding card and A LETTER FROM JOHN ANDERSON! :] Following that I had to rush to Walmart to finish up Andrew's Daddy's gift as well as Andrew's Valentine's gift. Then as it is approaching 10:00 pm drive to Subway to pick up dinner. You see, in the life of the busy people, they don't eat at times that are appropriate. When I finally got home around 10:30, I was welcomed by BEAUTIFUL Valentine's Day flowers from my hubby! :]

Aren't they BEAUTIFUL? They OF COURSE have Gerber Daisies, which we had in our wedding! :] After I got to admire these babies for 2 whole seconds, I had to hurry and eat and write a paper that was due at 11:59. RIGHT when I went to turn it in, OF COURSE WebCampus wouldn't work so I had to email my paper to my teacher and it was late. I hope she understands. LALALA following that I had to finish up the cupcakes I had started before work today, and finish up my VERY FIRST Banana Cream Pie I made as part of Pop's birthday present.
Hopefully it tastes good, and hopefully he likes it. Pops didn't want any presents this year, but OF COURSE I told Andrew we had to get him something, so hopefully he likes the pie.

After I finished all my domestic tasks, I came in to ask my Hubby (who is peacefully sleeping) if we were going to make the trek tonight or wait until tomorrow. I'm kind of glad he chose tomorrow, because our house is a WRECK! There is no way I'd leave all those dishes in the sink, and I still have to wrap Pop's present and Andrew's Valentine's Day Present so it's ready for Sunday.

Needless to say, I try to fit all this stuff into not enough hours in the day. I hope we wake up at a decent hour and make it to Meadview and make Pop's birthday wishes come true. Now I gotta hurry and wrap some gifts and hit the hay, seeing as it is almost 2:00 in the morning.

So lately I've been wishing of a life where I simply worked on our house, was an awesome housewife, and did crafts or vacationed all the time. Instead, I've been faced with the reality of working two jobs and going to school full time, which is becoming a nightmare. I keep thinking that I will do all these things, but there just isn't enough time in the day it seems. I think of all the stuff I need to get done, but then I have to go from one job to the next or try to hurry and do some homework before it's due. I'm coming to realize that instead of putting the necessary time I need to into being a wife and doing homework, I'm doing other things and working. Yes, I'm grateful for both my jobs, but working 10 hours a day about 4 days a week and doing homework is really taking a tole on me. I seem to be really tired, yet have no time for sleep. I know if I stopped procrastinating, this wouldn't be a problem and I could do everything  without a second thought. However, I just need to actually go through with that. I know what I need to do to be more successful, and I hope in a week or so, the shock of being so busy wears off, and I'm also able to see my husband more.

Aside from being stressed out and tired, Andrew and I were able to go to our friend Travis' birthday party. It was themed, which I loved, and HAD to dress up for. We got to dress up for rock n roll, and this is how our outfits turned out.

I think they turned out good for being last minute. These pictures aren't too good, but we had fun either way.

Also, tonight was Family Home Evening and I was in charge. After working 10 hours again today, I came home and made a heart shaped dinner in honor of it being Valentine's Day time and because it went along with the lesson topic which was "Love at Home." For dinner we had tomato soup, and heart shaped grilled cheese, along with heart shaped brownies for dessert.

I love cooking things like this, and can't wait to be a mom so I can encorporate even more fun things into meals. After dinner, while the brownies were baking, we went over the lesson. I'm really glad we were able to talk about the importance of love and home and how being loving towards eachother really changes the whole home environment. The spirit was definitely there, and I was so grateful to be reminded of how much I love Andrew and how grateful I am for him.
As our activity, we found 10 objects in the house, each one reminding us of either:
1. Ourself
2. Our spouse
3. Our dating experiences
4. Our engagment
5. Our wedding
6. Our honeymoond
7. Our married life
8. Our home
9. Our greatest strength as a couple
and finally 10. Our future together.

I was so glad I found this activity online, and am so glad we did it. Through hearing what eachother had to say about the objects we found, I was reminded of how much I love and appreciate Andrew and all he does for me. Our memories truly helped remind me of how strong our love is and how grateful I am to be able to be with Andrew for time and all eternity. This activity is so fun, and really can help strengthen a relationship, and I would recommend it to EVERYONE!

I really had a great time tonight and was grateful to feel the spirit in our home. I can't wait to have FHE in the future and learn and grow each time more and more. We also hope to work on our house more, and work on our health more because we see ourselves gaining weight which is no bueno. But for now, I need to work on some homework and hit the hay, so goooooodnight! :]

I just got my school assignment for my Education 201 class, and I will be observing at MARTHA P. KING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN BOULDER CITY! I'm SO SO SO excited to get into the classroom and get a better idea as to if teaching is for me, or not. I really can't wait to be more involved in the classroom and see where life takes me from there.

Aside from that, I'm just working and doing homework. I'm working 36 hours this week, which is DOUBLE what I used to work in a week. I hope this whole working two jobs and going to school and being a wife thing won't be to hard on me. I think I'll be able to do it though. Also, we are still working on the house. I can't wait to have it all painted and have our house warming party. I really get joy in cleaning the house and making it into a home. It's a really good feeling and I look forward to having people over. Last but not least, I'm working on wedding thank you notes! They take forever but I enjoy writing them and will be glad when they are finished.

Now about to finish some homework, maybe work on a few things here and there, and hit the hay. GOOD NIGHT! :]

So lately I've been getting MASSIVE headaches, practicially every day. I thought it might be because I've been wearing my glasses, so I don't have the site I'm used to where I can look any angle and see. This could contribute to it, but instead I think I found that it's the fact that I haven't been drinking water. I'm used to always having water bottles at my parent's house and just grabbing them whenever. Now, living with my hubby, we just have the old fridge water. It tastes good, I'm just not used to it, ya know. So instead, we drink soda like CRAZY. SO I think the problem is that I am dehydrated. It sucks, and I hope that I am right in my diagnosis. I'm definitely going to start drinking water again like I should and hopefully that helps. Tomorrow will hopefully tell...until then, I need to write a paper and sleeeeeeep. GOOD NIGHT!

oh and p.s. tonight was my first day at the City as a desk person for the new Heritage Park Indoor Pool. I think I'm going to like it there. :]

Forget Desperate, try DOMESTIC HOUSEWIFE! :]

Is it bad that I absolutely LOVE doing the motherly/wifely duties that are really stereotypical? I know I complain sometimes about cleaning, but when it comes down to it, I love knowing that I just did the dishes, or did the laundry. I also love having a clean house and can't wait to have our house finished. Along with that, I'm SO GLAD our kitchen is back in commission now because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO COOK!

I just realized this, but making food (that tastes GREAT) is so much fun for me. I love trying new recipes and actually succeeding with them, or realizing what I would like to change about the given recipe for next time. I haven't made one thing for Andrew and I that I would NEVER EVER make again, and I can't wait to be able to cook more and more. I love going shopping, and getting stuff ready for our family, even if it is only Andrew and I. Which follows into my next weakness: THE BABY AISLE AT TARGET! OH MY GOSH, I just have to rush by everytime so I don't think about having a bun in the oven. To be honest though, the thought makes me SO HAPPY and I absolutely can't wait to start a family with my amazing husband. I just know I should be a mom. Do you ever get that feeling, when it just FEELS right? I hope my dreams come true, and one day I am able to become one. We talked about waiting at least a year, so we can get settled and go on some adventures together, but as of right this moment, I would be willing to just say nevermind. Either way, whatever is supposed to happen will happen, and I just can't wait to keeping cooking for my hubby, and one day have the responsibility of cooking for a whole family. If only house wifes got paid, right? :]
